So I finally did it...I decided to embrace technology and (try to) get some videos out there. I don't think I'm totally as "techy challenged" as I thought, more that I'm a slight perfectionist who likes instant gratification and lacks the patience to sit down to learn it all to my satisfaction! LOL
I can't tell you how many times i hear "the photo didn't do the class sample justice" or "I didn't realize how unique the project was by a still picture" so this morning I charged up my little Flip camera, grabbed Mike to help for a few minutes before he left for BoyScout camp and we made a video of me going through the insides and explaining some of my class samples. I do videos quite a bit when I travel or of the kids, etc...I just never post them, especially when I am on them! I make silly faces, usually say stupid things (or some random curse that I would have to edit, lol) and I nit pick everything! In my decision to embrace it all...I am also going to embrace all of my imperfections and just GO with it or I will never get it right or do it at all.
So that being said...its nothing fancy, it's unedited, I repeated some words too many times and I have way too much cleavage hanging out (which I'm sure it going to make my mother crazy! LOL) But hey, I'm a curvy girl with big boobs and my husband was in charge of the camera...need I say more?! LOL he was already gone by the time i realized it so I'm just going with it and embracing that too : )
So please bare with me, I'm going to be practicing this all summer. I am setting up a YouTube channel (not sure if I'm doing it right but it's there and I'm sure it's going to be a work in progress, lol) and every video I do will be a learning experience I'm sure...for example, I know for next time to sit down and put the books in front of my chest or keep me out of the shot altogether, LOL
** The kits for these classes are all available here on my blog. If you click on the "studio Store" tab at the top it will bring you to the listing and shopping cart. I just put the Memories of the Beach Canvas Flip Book kits on sale and lowered the price to get rid of the last few I have...less than a dozen left and when they are gone, they're GONE. I also want to mention that I wasn't very clear in the video on whats inlcluded in the Beach book kit...not just canvas and sand, lol. All precut papers, chipboard, die cuts, seaglass, shells, mother of pearl flakes, sand, waxed linen and all materials for binding, both canvas, etc and I will e-mail you full color instructions with lots of pictures and details to put it all together and customize it if you want.
So here's my first little video, if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me or friends me on Facebook!
