I flew in to Dallas this afternoon leaving the slushy snow in NJ behind...it's the perfect temperature here and I am loving it already! I spent the day relaxing around the hotel and actually took a nap (imagine that?!). I'm glad I decided to give myself a day buffer time in case of snow delays at newark...something you have to always take in to consideration when flying from New Jersey. Newark Airport is notorious for delays for anything and everything. Example: in January I flew out to California. I was up all night prepping, checked flight status at 4:30am which said we were on schedule and on time. Left the house for Newark at 5am. By the time I got to my gate at about 7am, the decided they had to plow and we were delayed until noon. At 11:30 we were ready to board but then the captain was missing so we were delayed until they found him. THEN suddenly the engines were frozen and we were going to be delayed until 3pm. Really? When I know I have to drive my car on a cold day, I warm it up ahead of time to know it will be ok. DIdn't anyone realize sooner that that plane might need to be warmed up? Ridiculous, but sadly common at Newark. So, to say I was thrilled to be on time today was an understatement and I had time to unwind and catch up on some sleep.
So my Texas road trip officially begins tomorrow. I'll be at Crop-paper-scissors in Waco Friday night and Saturday, Tuesday at Remember When, Wednesday and Thursday at Scrapbook N Such and next Friday & saturday at the Crafty Scrapper. I am excited! The last time I was in Texas was October for the Ten seconds Studios "Bra Free" Certification weekend and I just had so much fun with all of the local ladies that i had to come back!!
I just want to mention one more thing...if you couldn't get in or were on the waiting list for the sold out Ink Boot Camp next saturday at the Crafty Scrapper, we did add a second Ink Boot Camp on Friday afternoon to try to accomodate the waiting list...which also ended up freeing up a few spots on Saturday because a few ladies switched days. So give them a call if you were interested : )
